Fourth Edition of Ketto Awards honors Changemakers in India

Mumbai : This year marks the fourth annual Ketto Awards, presented by Ketto, the top crowdfunding platform in Southeast Asia, in an effort to highlight and reward the projects that are making a difference in the region. The Ketto Awards were established to give due recognition to outstanding efforts made by people, social entrepreneurs, and healthcare facilities to effect positive and long-lasting social change.

The Ketto Awards were created to recognise outstanding non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and individuals that work together with public and private sectors to improve their local communities and address societal problems. These honours go to groups and individuals who have made a significant and lasting difference in the world, either on their own or with the help of others through collaboration, investment, or pro bono work.

The “Ketto Awards” are intended to be much more than a simple token of appreciation. It stands for the transformative potential of group charity, of people coming together to help those who are most in need. Ketto’s core value is the idea that every person has the ability to effect positive change in their world, and the change agents we recognise with the Ketto Awards are living examples of this philosophy. They are the ones who have stepped up in the face of hardship to see a problem and actively seek a solution. By giving them these medals, we wish to both acknowledge their hard work and encourage others to follow in their footsteps. A culture of charity and civic duty is what we hope to foster. The Ketto co-founder and chief executive officer, Varun Sheth, made this statement.

There will be a total of fourteen categories for winners to be chosen from. These include Best NGO in New Enterprise Category, Best National NGO of the Year, Best International NGO of the Year, Best Social Change Icon of the Year, Best Celebrity Changemaker of the Year, The Young Changemaker of the Year, and Best School Initiative of the Year. Moreover, the Best Transplant Hospital in India, Best Multi Speciality Hospitals (East, West, North, and South) Contribution to Rare Disease Patient Care, Best Children’s Hospital in India, Best Cancer Hospital in India, and Best Healthcare System in India are all up for awards in the newest edition of the Kettto awards. Following extensive examination of the submitted works, three finalists have been selected from each category. After exhaustive assessments, the winners are announced based on the impact of their initiatives on the local community.

A panel of judges comprised of Dr. Rajan Samuel, Managing Director of Habitat for Humanity, Sheila Nair, CEO of ThoughtFrame, and Dr. Sonia Basu, Vice President of Business of Ketto, presented awards to distinguished NGOs, individuals, and hospitals for their noteworthy philanthropic endeavors. The awardees included renowned personalities such as Rajshri Deshpande and Saumya Tandon.
