SVPI installs Barcode readers for quick entry of passengers in the terminal
At these checkpoints, CISF officers will use barcode scanners rather than physically inspect each passenger's ticket or boarding pass.
Ahmedabad (Gujarat) : Two new barcode readers have been installed at the domestic terminal of Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPI) in order to expedite the check-in and security screening processes for passengers.
The barcoded entry can be used to quickly confirm a traveler’s information. At these checkpoints, CISF officers will use barcode scanners rather than physically inspect each passenger’s ticket or boarding pass.
All entry gates, including the international terminal, will soon have such a system installed, according to the airport operator.
Barcode scanner technology will not only boost the security system, but also streamline the check-in procedure, saving time and stress for passengers.
