AhmedabadIn an effort to enhance passenger comfort and convenience, the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) announced that Bullet Train corridor stations will be outfitted with state-of-the-art amenities and advanced information systems. Each station will feature modern ticketing areas, comfortable waiting rooms, business-class lounges, nurseries, restrooms, information booths, and retail centers, ensuring a premium travel experience for all passengers.

The first escalators, part of a comprehensive installation plan, are being set up at the Anand Bullet Train station, where two energy-efficient escalators are being installed from the ground to the concourse level. This marks a significant milestone in the development of the Bullet Train project, which is designed to connect major cities across Gujarat and Maharashtra.

Across the 12 stations on the corridor, a total of 90 energy-efficient escalators will be installed, with 48 escalators designated for eight stations in Gujarat and 42 for four stations in Maharashtra. These escalators have been carefully designed to prioritize passenger safety and security. Each escalator will be equipped with emergency stop buttons, handrail finger guard safety devices to prevent accidental entrapment, and brush-type dress guards to ensure that clothing and accessories don’t get caught.

At the Anand station, a total of six escalators will be installed: two from the ground to the concourse level and four from the concourse to the platform level. Similarly, at the Sabarmati station, a total of 12 escalators will be installed, with eight running from the platform to the concourse and four from the concourse to the first floor. Other major stations, such as Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Bilimora, and Vapi, will also receive escalators to facilitate smooth passenger movement.

This large-scale installation is part of a broader initiative to modernize the infrastructure along the Bullet Train corridor, making it one of the most technologically advanced rail systems in the country. NHSRCL aims to create a safe and efficient travel environment, ensuring that every detail, from the design of the escalators to the layout of passenger amenities, meets the highest standards of quality.
