17 Gujarati Pilgrims Stranded in Kedarnath rescued

Gandhinagar : In a coordinated and rapid response, 17 Gujarati pilgrims from the Aravalli district, who were trapped near Moti Lincholi in Uttarakhand due to adverse weather conditions, were successfully rescued. The group had travelled to the holy site of Kedarnath Dham, only to be caught in severe weather that made further travel impossible.
Upon receiving news of the stranded pilgrims, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel immediately took action. He directed the State Emergency Operation Center (SEOC) to coordinate rescue efforts without delay. Relief Commissioner Shri Alok Pandey facilitated crucial communication between the Gujarat SEOC and the Uttarakhand SEOC, ensuring that the details and contact information of the pilgrims were promptly shared. This enabled the Uttarakhand authorities to prepare for the rescue mission efficiently.
Chief Minister Patel personally oversaw the rescue operation, providing continuous guidance and support to the Relief Commissioner and SEOC officials. His hands-on approach was instrumental in the swift mobilisation of resources and personnel needed for the rescue.
The Uttarakhand SEOC, in collaboration with the Rudraprayag District Control Room, launched an immediate rescue operation. Despite the challenging weather conditions, they were prepared to act as soon as it was safe to do so.
