VADODARA, GUJARAT : Vadodara residents travelling to Ahmedabad can now breathe a sigh of relief. The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has launched a brand new air-conditioned (AC) Volvo bus service connecting Vadodara directly to the Sardar Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad. This comes just months after a similar service was introduced for Rajkot in February.

This new service, starting today, May 9th, 2024, offers Vadodara residents a comfortable and convenient travel option to the airport. Passengers can avail two trips daily, departing from the Ahmedabad airport at 6:00 AM and 11:30 PM. The journey is estimated to take between 2.00 to 2.10 hours, making it a time-saving option compared to other modes of transport.

According to the GSRTC website, tickets for this premium service are priced between Rs. 195 and Rs. 200. The Volvo bus will take passengers through Kalupur, Ahmedabad, and CTM before reaching the expressway for a smooth and swift journey. Notably, the press release also mentions the bus being electric-run, which aligns with GSRTC’s commitment to sustainable transportation.

This new AC Volvo bus service is a significant development for Vadodara. It provides residents with a reliable, comfortable, and affordable travel option to the airport.  This not only enhances their travel experience but also strengthens connectivity between the two major cities of Gujarat.
