Trainees of National Fire Service College, Nagpur visit Adani Port in Hazira

This is the 76th batch of trainees who will serve as fire brigade officers in their respective cities after completing the training, visited Adani Hazira Port in Hazira, Surat on an industrial visit.

Surat: About 26 Divisional Officers from around 20 Municipal Corporations of the country undergoing training at National Fire Service College, Nagpur, run by the Government of India and Ministry of Home Affairs, visited Surat as part of their training.

This is the 76th batch of trainees who will serve as fire brigade officers in their respective cities after completing the training, visited Adani Hazira Port in Hazira, Surat on an industrial visit.

Adani Port Fire Officer Yogendra Solanki, Fire Incharge Dushyant Javia, Dry Cargo Head Mohit Shaktawat, Adani Hazira Port Limited Associate General Manager Safety, Environment and Health Rupesh Jambudi and Chief Operations Officer Anand Marathe briefed about the various operations of Hazira Port and the security measures.

The trainees also visited the Adani Hazira Port and its “Safety Center of Excellence”. The purpose of the visit was to get information about how operations are carried out during emergencies at the port and its associated places and also how various safety measures are taken. Deputy Chief Fire Officer of Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC), JB Patel was present during the visit of the training divisional officers.
