Surat : Govind Dholakia, chairman of the world’s largest diamond manufacturing company, Shree Ram Krishna Exports (SRK) based in Surat was felicitated at an event held at The Cholmondeley Room of the British Parliament on March 6.

The function was organized in the presence of Lords, Members of parliament, academia, businessmen and the elite of London. Lord Raj Loomba hosted the event, which was chaired by Lord Bhikhu Parekh.

Several other lords, including Lord Navneet Dholakia and Lord Rami Ranger CBE, Baron of Mayfair, were present at the function. The event was organized to felicitate Shri Govind Dholakia for his contribution to the diamond industry and Indo-British relations.

Several Members of Parliament (MPs) spoke at the event, including Shri Shailesh Vara, who represents North West Cambridgeshire, Shri Virendra Sharma, who represents Ealing Southall, and Shri Gagan Mohindra, who represents South West Hertfordshire. They discussed the importance of the diamond industry to trade between India and Britain. Govind Dholakia was praised for his work to improve ties between India and the United Kingdom.

Shri Govind Dholakia is a household name in the diamond trade, and his contributions to the growth of the industry in India are widely lauded. He started and now heads up Shree Ramkrishna Exports, a major player in the international diamond trade. His work in the diamond business has earned him acclaim.
