Surat, Gujarat — In a heartbreaking turn of events in Surat’s Mota Varachha, Jaideep Satodiya, a young businessman, has taken his own life allegedly due to severe torture inflicted by his ex-wife and her lover. The incident has led to a case of abetment to suicide being registered against multiple individuals, including the ex-wife and several associates.

Jaideep’s decision to end his life was preceded by a half-hour video where he tearfully recounted the torment he endured, pleading for justice and appealing directly to Prime Minister Modi for legal reform to protect men from such dire consequences.

The discovery of Jaideep’s suicide note, along with the videos detailing his anguish, has shed light on the disturbing circumstances leading up to his death. His family uncovered these materials in the trunk of his moped following his untimely demise.

Heartbreaking Video Appeal and Suicide Note

In the poignant video, Jaideep expressed profound despair, apologizing to his parents and sisters while detailing the alleged abuse and threats he faced from his estranged wife and her circle. He lamented the lack of support and justice for men in similar situations, questioning why men must resort to such drastic measures to be heard.

“I have lost everything in life! I am taking this step. Forgive me, everyone,” Jaideep painfully expressed in his final message, accusing Sheetal and her associates of ruining his life despite his efforts to support her endeavors and uphold their marital vows.

Legal Actions and Arrests

Following the discovery of the suicide note and videos, the Utran Police Station swiftly took action, arresting Sheetal Lalubhai Rathwa and her accomplice, Mohsin Hanif Memon. Sheetal, aged 24, and Mohsin, aged 36, were apprehended from a local hotel. Mohsin, known for his business in spice exports to Mauritius, faces allegations alongside Sheetal regarding their involvement in Jaideep’s tragic fate.

Investigations are ongoing to locate and apprehend the remaining individuals named in Jaideep’s video appeal. The case has sparked widespread concern and calls for justice within the community, highlighting the need for comprehensive legal protections for individuals facing similar circumstances.

Community Response and Police Statements

In response to the incident, PI D.U. Barad of the Utran Police Station affirmed their commitment to ensuring justice for Jaideep. “We have arrested two suspects and are actively pursuing leads to apprehend the others involved,” he stated, emphasizing the seriousness with which the police are treating the case.
