Surat Police Make Diwali Special for Elderly at Old Age Home
The police officer promised that he will make sure that their sons and daughters would visit the old age home to meet them during the festive season.
Surat : The festival of lights, Diwali, was made special for the elderly people at the Matoshree old age home when the police staff from Rander police station led by police inspector Atul Sonara took their blessings and presented them with Diwali goodies as part of the special humanitarian work.
The police officer promised that he will make sure that their sons and daughters would visit the old age home to meet them during the festive season.
On the occasion of Diwali, the elders living in the old age home were blessed with shawls, caps, and sweaters from Rander police.
A very emotional scene was created during the visit of the police staff of Rander police station to the old age home. There was an emotional conversation and dialogue between the police and elders. The Diwali celebrations of the police began with a visit to the old age home and the blessings of the elders, leaving the hearts of all the elders filled with happiness. Elders were moved by this attitude of the police and they blessed all the policemen with heavy hearts and tears in their eyes.

“We wanted to do something special for the elderly people at the old age home this Diwali. They are often forgotten and neglected, so we wanted to show them that we care. We also wanted to send a message to their children and grandchildren that they should never forget their parents and grandparents” said Atul Sonara, police inspector.
