Surat :  Darshan Naik, a prominent co-operative leader in South Gujarat and the general secretary of Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC), has assumed the role of President of the Sarvodaya Jan Kalyan Charitable Trust. This organization is dedicated to uplifting the health, education, and social welfare of the underprivileged, impoverished individuals, and children. The appointment was officially announced by social activist Jayendra Desai during a meeting held at Sandhiyer village in Olpad taluka on Saturday.

In addition to Darshan Naik’s appointment as President, the trust’s executive committee now includes key figures such as Swatiben P. Patel as Vice-President, Jayendra Desai as Secretary, Badal Patel as Joint Secretary, and Natu Patel (Dabholi) as Treasurer. This dedicated team aims to collectively drive initiatives that contribute positively to the lives of the marginalized sections of society.

A comprehensive strategy has been outlined to carry out various social welfare projects, encompassing representatives from every taluka of the Surat district. One of the upcoming endeavors involves recognizing academic excellence by rewarding students securing the top three ranks in schools and high schools with incentives and cash prizes.

Additionally, an all-inclusive disease diagnosis camp is scheduled to take place in Mandvi on October 1, 2023, as part of the trust’s commitment to holistic health care.

The mission is to transform the trust into a beacon of hope and support for those in need, further emphasizing its role as a driving force for positive change.

Distinguished figures such as Bharat Desai, Dharmesh Patel, Dilip Singh Mahida, Bharat Rathore, Hemal Patel (Naghoi), Jayesh Solanki (Antroli), Shankar Chaudhary (Mandvi), and Vipul Patel (Mahuva) graced the occasion with their presence, showcasing the collective commitment to uplifting society’s vulnerable sections through concerted efforts and initiatives.
