Vadodara, Gujarat – In a startling turn of events, Vadodara’s Karelibaug area witnessed widespread protests on Tuesday after unidentified individuals plastered posters of the Pakistani national flag along prominent roads. The incident, discovered near Shri Wagheshwari Society and Chandravati Society, has sparked outrage among local residents and community leaders.
Local activist Atul Gamechi, who was among the first to notice the provocative posters, swiftly alerted authorities. “Vadodara is known for its peace and harmony. Seeing these posters of Pakistan’s flag was deeply unsettling,” Gamechi remarked. “I immediately called the police control room to report the incident.”
Responding promptly to the public outcry, officers from Karelibaug police station rushed to the scene to remove the posters and restore calm. “Our team acted swiftly upon receiving reports of the posters. The posters were removed, and we have initiated a thorough investigation into this matter,” stated PI H. M. Vyas of the Karelibaug police.
The posters, believed to have been put up overnight, have raised concerns about the intentions behind such provocative actions. Residents expressed dismay over the incident, emphasizing the need to uphold peace and unity in the city. “This act is not just a symbol but a deliberate attempt to disrupt our community’s harmony,” voiced a local resident who witnessed the removal of the posters.
Atul Gamechi, reflecting on the broader implications, called for decisive action against terrorism. “Pakistan continues to harbor terrorism, and such actions only strengthen our resolve to ensure peace. We urge the authorities to investigate thoroughly and take appropriate steps,” Gamechi asserted.
Meanwhile, the police investigation is focusing on identifying the individuals responsible for placing the posters and determining the motive behind their actions. “We are looking into all angles of this incident. Such acts of provocation will not be tolerated, and we are committed to ensuring the safety and security of all residents,” PI Vyas affirmed.
The incident has reignited discussions about national security and the need for vigilance against provocative gestures. Authorities have assured the public of their commitment to maintaining law and order while upholding the city’s ethos of tolerance and inclusivity.
