Ahmedabad : Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan embarked on a grand roadshow through Ahmedabad on Tuesday, marking the start of a high-profile visit for the UAE leader and setting the stage for the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit.

The two leaders, sharing a closed vehicle, cruised through a 3-kilometer cavalcade of about 50 cars, waving to cheering crowds gathered along the route from GUJSAIL Circle to Indira Bridge. The spectacle, held within the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation limits, was a vibrant display of India’s cultural heritage and enthusiasm for the summit.

The route was lined with 15 stages showcasing diverse cultural performances, from traditional Gujarati dances to Bollywood music. BJP supporters added to the festive atmosphere, waving flags and chanting slogans.

The roadshow culminated in Gandhinagar, where the two leaders will attend the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, a premier event aimed at attracting investment and boosting economic cooperation. The summit, to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi on Wednesday, is expected to see participation from world leaders and business delegates from across the globe.

A big number of Amdavadis have gathered to greet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Several greeting spots were put up throughout the roadshow route. Bihu, an Assamese folk dance, was performed at the welcoming point. Another receiving point displayed a peek of Gujarat’s traditional Bhavai clothing.

The visit by President Al Nahyan underscores the growing strategic partnership between India and the UAE. Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show, the largest of its kind in the country, solidifying Gujarat’s position as a hub for business and investment.

With the roadshow kicking off the festivities, the stage is set for a vibrant and productive summit, promising to further strengthen the bonds between India and the UAE.
