PM Modi inaugurated medical device plant in Vapi
During this event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, joined by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, inaugurated a new medical device manufacturing plant at Meril Company in Chala, Vapi taluka of Valsad district via video conference.
Vapi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the new medical device manufacturing plant at Meril company in Chala, Vapi taluka during the launch of multiple health projects from the All India Institute of Ayurved (AIIA) in New Delhi.
During this event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, joined by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, inaugurated a new medical device manufacturing plant at Meril Company in Chala, Vapi taluka of Valsad district via video conference. Joining the Chief Minister at Meril Company was Kanubhai Desai, the state’s Minister of Finance, Energy, and Petrochemicals. The PM’s program, broadcast live from Delhi, was attended by dignitaries at the Takshashila Auditorium of Meril Academy. The Chief Minister visited ‘Meril Park-1’, a new medical device manufacturing plant that was virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During this visit, CM obtained detailed information about the operations at Meril Company’s manufacturing plant, the Cancer Research Center, and advancements in the field of surgical robotics. He also inspected the manufacturing plant for heart valves and stents. The plant primarily focuses on surgical robotics, heart valves, stents, and cancer research activities. Additionally, the Chief Minister received detailed information regarding the ongoing work in cancer research and surgical robotics.
The Chief Minister visited Meril Studio and gathered information about various medical devices being manufactured, such as trauma implants, orthopaedic implants, and India’s first robot (misho) for knee replacement. CM also inaugurated the ‘Merai Data Center’ at Meril Academy. The data centre aims to enhance the quality of human life by leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to drive a global transformation in the healthcare sector. By utilizing health data, it will facilitate research on new drugs and improve the accuracy of patient treatment and diagnosis. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also released books on ‘Meril Sankalp’ and the impact of climate change on health.
CEO of Meril Company, Vivek Shah, along with Anjum Bilkhiya, provided detailed information to the Chief Minister about the company’s initiatives aligned with initiatives such as Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
On this occasion, Valsad District Panchayat President Manhar Patel, Lok Sabha Whip and MPi Dhaval Patel, MLAs Bharat Patel, Jitu Chaudhary, Arvind Patel, and Ramanlal Patkar, Vapi Municipality President Pankaj Patel, District Organization President Hemant Kansara, District Organization General Secretary Kamlesh Patel, VIA President Satish Patel, Senior Vice President of Meril Company Sanjiv Bhatt, Director Pramod Kumar Minocha, and RG Vyas, along with their team, remained present.
