Strengthening India–UAE Strategic Partnership
During the meeting, both sides reviewed ways to further deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and the UAE.
According to the Indian Embassy in the UAE, NSA Doval conveyed greetings from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed measures to expand cooperation across key sectors, including:
- Energy security
- Regional stability
- Strategic and defence collaboration
- Broader geopolitical developments
The Embassy stated that the discussions also covered issues of mutual interest amid evolving global and regional dynamics.
Focus on Regional Security and Iran Situation
The UAE state news agency WAM reported that the talks placed significant emphasis on:
- Recent developments in the Middle East
- Implications of ongoing regional conflicts, including tensions linked to Iran
- International security and stability concerns
- Global energy security challenges
Both sides exchanged views on maintaining stability in a rapidly changing geopolitical environment.
Leadership Exchanges and Diplomatic Messaging
During the meeting:
- NSA Doval conveyed Prime Minister Modi’s greetings and best wishes for the UAE’s continued progress
- The UAE President reciprocated with greetings for the Indian leadership and wished for India’s continued growth and prosperity
The meeting was also attended by senior UAE officials, including:
- Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi
- Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security
Growing Frequency of High-Level Engagements
This marks the second high-level interaction between India and the UAE in a month.
Earlier, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar also met the UAE President during his regional visit, highlighting the strong continuity in diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
Jaishankar had emphasized that despite a complex regional environment, India–UAE relations remain stable, transparent, and actively engaged at the highest levels.
Strategic Outlook
Officials noted that the latest meeting reflects the increasing importance of India–UAE cooperation amid shifting global dynamics, particularly in areas such as:
- Energy supply stability
- Maritime security
- Regional conflict management
- Economic and strategic alignment
The discussions underline both countries’ shared interest in maintaining peace and stability in the broader Middle East and Indian Ocean region.
