As part of academic discourse, Fashion Management Students of The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Daman campus ventured the trekking as part of their outbound program. It was included in the curriculum to help students develop a range of skills and attributes of Teamwork, Leadership, Communication, Self-confidence, Self-exploration, Lateral thinking. The program is based on experiential learning, where students interact with each other and reflect on their activities after each one.

As visitors ascend to the summit, they are rewarded with stunning vistas of the encompassing landscape, featuring verdant forests, undulating hills, and the serene waters of the Madhuban Dam. On clear days, one can also glimpse the impressive Vapi Industrial Estate and the rolling hills of the Western Ghats.

The optimal period to visit Bonta Hill Station is during the winter months (October to February), when the climate is cool and agreeable, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C. The summer months (March to May) can be characterized by heat and humidity, with temperatures fluctuating between 25°C and 35°C. The monsoon season (June to September) also offers a favourable time for a visit, as the rainfall revitalises the forest, rendering the scenery particularly lush and vibrant.

The Forest Department of Dadra and Nagar Haveli extends essential amenities and support to trekkers, including guides, first aid, and emergency services. Permits and guides for the trek can be acquired from the Forest Department office in Silvassa upon prior request.
