NIFT Daman Alumna Designs Costumes for Pan-India Film

Sharadhi Sujendra, an alumnus of the Master of Fashion Management batch 2023-25, has been selected as the Costume Designer for the upcoming Pan-India movie "Devasasya", Unknown countryside of the well-known state.

Daman — In a remarkable achievement for the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Daman campus, Sharadhi Sujendra, an alumnus of the Master of Fashion Management batch 2023-25, has been selected as the Costume Designer for the upcoming Pan-India movie “Devasasya”, Unknown countryside of the well-known state. This mythological and spiritually-driven cinematic journey, originally in Kannada and set to release in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam.

“Devasasya” is a rich blend of ancient lore, divine retribution, and human resilience, set in the mystical realm of Sirsi, Karnataka. The movie’s visual storytelling through costumes plays a vital role in bringing authenticity and depth to the characters. Sharadhi, along with her Associate Costume Designer Rashmi Bagenal, has been working to craft costumes that match the time, emotional tone, and personal journey of the characters. The team has been supported by Producer Anantha Murthy, Director Karthik Bhat, Associate Director Praveen Bhat, Music Director Hari Ajay, and Production Designer KGF Kiran, who have all contributed to bringing the visual world of Devasasya to life.

This achievement highlights the talent and expertise of NIFT Daman’s students and alumni in the field of fashion and costume design. Sharadhi’s selection for this high-profile project shows NIFT’s commitment to nurturing creative talents.
