Ahmedabad : Nectar Lifecare, one of India’s emerging and trusted pharmaceutical companies, has reinforced its commitment to affordable healthcare with the launch of its anti-diabetes range in February 2025. With over 101 million people in India living with diabetes as per the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), access to cost-effective treatment is more crucial than ever. Nectar Lifecare aims to bridge this gap by introducing affordable, high-quality diabetes medications, ensuring better patient care and management.

Recognizing the alarming rise in lifestyle diseases, which contribute to over 60% of deaths in India (World Health Organization), the company is now expanding its portfolio to address a broader range of health concerns. The prevalence of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) has increased by 50% in the last two decades, and obesity rates have nearly doubled in urban India (ICMR & National Family Health Survey). To meet this growing demand, Nectar plans to introduce combination medicines for cardiac care, advanced obesity treatments, and a strengthened antibiotics portfolio.

Introducing beta-lactam antibiotics segment that plays a critical role in treating bacterial infections. With antimicrobial resistance on the rise, expanding access to effective antibiotics is essential for improved healthcare outcomes.

Commenting on the company’s future plans, Nilesh Patel, Managing Director at Nectar Lifecare, said, “Our mission has always been to bridge the gap between quality healthcare and affordability. With sedentary lifestyle and weight reduction medications gaining traction as quicker options compared to conventional methods like dieting and exercising we are proactively trying to address the upcoming healthcare demand by providing patients with effective, accessible, and affordable solutions we are ensuring a healthier future for millions.”

Nectar Lifecare continues to address India’s pressing healthcare challenges with its commitment to address the gap in the industry and its research-driven solutions. The company also ensures its medicines meet the highest safety and efficacy standards while remaining cost-effective.

As it moves forward with its expansion in the lifestyle disease segment, Nectar Lifecare remains focused on delivering patient-centric, high-quality treatments that empower individuals and healthcare providers alike.
