ANAND : Dr Meenesh Shah, Chairman, NDDB & IDMC Limited inaugurated the state-of-the-art 10 LLPD dairy processing plant for Freshways in Birmingham, the United Kingdom (UK) on 9th July 2026. This fully automated dairy plant has been set up by NDDB’s wholly-owned subsidiary IDMC Limited.
In his address, Dr Meenesh Shah expressed gratitude to Freshways for placing its trust in NDDB and IDMC Limited for this momentous project. He highlighted IDMC’s journey from its inception – aimed at reducing India’s dependence on imported dairy processing equipment – to its evolution as a manufacturer of world-class dairy solutions. Dr Shah described the Birmingham facility as a historic milestone: IDMC’s first complete dairy processing plant established outside India and a testament to India’s growing engineering excellence and global capabilities.
Chairman, NDDB & IDMC Limited emphasised that IDMC Limited has played a pivotal role in providing world‑class dairy processing infrastructure, strengthening India’s dairy ecosystem for decades. He noted that the successful execution of this international project reflects the nation’s capability to deliver excellence and reinforces the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat.
Shri Rajkumar Malik, Managing Director of IDMC Limited stated that delivering a world‑class, fully automated plant from concept to commissioning in the UK positions the company as an elite player in the international dairy technology domain. He added that this achievement paves the way for partnerships with more global dairy companies and will help take Indian dairy engineering solutions to new international markets.
Shri Bali Nijjar, Managing Director of Freshways, commended IDMC Limited’s commitment to setting up the Birmingham dairy plant with unmatched precision and professionalism.
