National Farmers’ Day: Natural Farming Training Empowers Tribal Farmers in Bharuch
Adani Foundation-organised home-based training at Netrang promotes eco-friendly farming across 12 tribal villages

Dahej | Gujarat : As part of the celebration of National Farmers’ Day, a home-based natural farming training program for tribal farmers was successfully organized at Hathakundi in Netrang taluka of Bharuch district. Farmers from 12 surrounding villages participated in the natural training camp. The main objective of the program was to promote sustainable and natural farming methods among farmers and to inspire them to adopt eco-friendly farming methods.
Captain Dharma Prakash, COO of Adani Petronet Dahej, was specially present as the chief guest of the program. Captain Dharma Prakash, in his inspiring address, talked about his and his family’s life journey and background, emphasizing values like hard work, discipline and patience. His personal experiences were an inspiration for the villagers and especially the youth to continuously strive towards education, progress and sustainable employment.
In the program, training and technical guidance on natural farming was provided by Puna Dada, Master Farmer Trainer of Bharuch District Atma Project. During the training, detailed information was given on the preparation, use and benefits of various inputs of natural farming along with making Jivamrut, Agni Astra, Nimastra.
In addition, live demonstrations were also organized to provide practical understanding to the farmers that can be easily adopted at the field level. The program included sharing of farmer experience, honoring women farmers, and discussions with experts. These activities increased the confidence of the farmers, strengthened community participation, and increased enthusiasm to adopt natural and sustainable farming methods. The farmers described this effort and program of Adani Foundation as very useful.
