Interschool Kabaddi-Khokho competition organized by Adani Sportsline started from Surat
Interschool competition organized in four cities of Gujarat : Surat, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Vadodara
Surat : Adani Sportsline, a sports branch of Adani Group, kick started ‘The Little Giants Interschool championship 2023’ from the PP Savani Vidya complex at Abrama in Surat.
With the beginning of the two-day interschool competition from Surat, Adani Sportsline will be organizing similar competitions in other three cities of Gujarat namely Rajkot, Vadodara and Ahmedabad in the coming days.
Adani Sportsline aims to fulfill India’s ambitions to promote indigenous sports like Kabaddi and Kho-Kho and provide opportunities to aspiring talents. In the two-day competition at Surat, players from 48 teams from different schools participated in Kabaddi and Khokho games.
The Little Giants Tournament is an attempt to draw the attention of school children towards sports like kabaddi and kho-kho to encourage them to participate in such sports competitions. The league has been around since its inception.
Adani Sportsline’s team plays Gujarat Giants in the league of kabaddi and kho-kho games of Indian origin.
On the first day, the Kabaddi final was played between Vatslyadham Madhyamik School and JB KARP Vidya Sankoo where the JB KARP team scored 35 points and the Vatslyadham team won by scoring 40 points.
While the final match of kho-kho was also won by Vatslyadham school team. The next morning the Kabaddi final between 16 school teams was played between Sunlight School and Gajera English Medium in which the Sunlight team emerged victorious.
In the finals at Ahmedabad, along with Kabaddi and Khokho teams from Vatslyadham, the Sunlight school team will play against the winning team from other cities in the finals. The support of PP Savani Vidya Sankool was received in organizing the Surat competition.
