Indigo announced the future route to the We Work For a Working Airport at Surat (WWWAS) Facebook page, which sparked instant excitement among Surat people. The flights will run three days a week, on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, providing convenient travel alternatives for both Surat-to-Dubai and Dubai-to-Surat routes.
The aircraft will depart Surat at 12:35 a.m. and arrive in Dubai at 02:25. For travellers returning from Dubai, the aircraft leaves at 05:15 PM and arrives in Surat at 09:30 PM on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
This direct link benefits the Surat Diamond Bourse (SDB), the world’s biggest diamond office complex. International buyers, an important element of the SDB ecosystem, will now be able to travel directly to Surat, eliminating the requirement for connecting flights via Mumbai.
Dinesh Navadia, SDB’s media convener, expressed hope about the new route’s effect, saying, “The Surat-Dubai flight will significantly boost diamond trade at the SDB.” International purchasers may now visit Surat directly, creating a variety of commercial options for local diamond enterprises.
The Surat-Dubai flight is more than simply a convenience; it’s a driver of progress. Surat’s diamond trade is ready to reach new heights, according to Navadia.
