Comedian and YouTuber Samay Raina has sparked excitement among fans after hinting that the second season of India’s Got Latent could be heading to Netflix. The show’s first season was released on YouTube and became one of India’s most talked-about online entertainment programs before being pulled amid controversy.

Netflix Teaser Fuels Speculation

Speculation began after Netflix India shared a cryptic teaser on Instagram featuring Samay’s bodyguard, Amin Khan, standing in front of red curtains. The post, shared jointly with Samay Raina, carried the caption:

“Drop 🍋🌶️ in the comments pls, we’re gonna need it.”

The reference to the traditional nimbu-mirchi charm, often associated with protection from bad luck or the evil eye, quickly caught the attention of fans.

Samay further fueled the buzz by reposting the teaser on his Instagram Stories and sharing a photograph of himself holding a lemon-and-chilli charm. Many interpreted the gesture as a sign that his next project may once again attract criticism, similar to the controversy that surrounded the first season of India’s Got Latent.

Is India’s Got Latent Season 2 Coming to Netflix?

While neither Netflix nor Samay has officially confirmed the title of the project, fans are convinced the teaser points toward India’s Got Latent Season 2. The comedian had earlier confirmed during his comedy special Still Alive that a second season was in development.

The possibility of a move to an OTT platform has generated mixed reactions online. Some viewers welcomed the idea, arguing that a streaming platform could help the show reach a wider audience and avoid the uncertainty that affected its YouTube run.

Fans Fear the Show Could Be Censored

Not everyone is celebrating the potential move. Several fans have expressed concerns that the show’s edgy and unfiltered style could be toned down if it streams on Netflix.

Social media discussions and Reddit threads were filled with comments suggesting that OTT regulations and platform guidelines could lead to stricter moderation of content. Some users compared the situation to other projects that they felt were altered or edited before release, while others argued that moving behind a subscription platform could change the spirit of the show.

Despite the concerns, many supporters said they would rather see India’s Got Latent continue on Netflix than disappear entirely.

Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Rumoured for Season Premiere

Adding to the excitement, a leaked photograph allegedly showing Alia Bhatt and Sharvari on the set of India’s Got Latent recently went viral on social media.

The image led to speculation that the two actresses could appear in the opening episode of the new season. However, neither the show’s creators nor the actors have confirmed their involvement.

For now, fans are waiting for an official announcement from Samay Raina and Netflix regarding the future of one of India’s most talked-about comedy talent shows.
