In a first, PPSU launches B.Com Honors with ACCA course in collaboration with ACCA-UK

Surat (Gujarat) [India]: The PP Savani University (PPSU) has become the first educational institution in Gujarat to offer a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) Honors with ACCA course in collaboration with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)-UK. This global professional accounting body offers the Chartered Certified Accountant qualification.

This degree course will open up gates for Indian students, especially students from Gujarat, to practice standardise accounting in the companies and establishments in the Middle East and European countries. The ACCA is recognised in over 170 countries worldwide and the direct collaboration by the PPSU will facilitate the students to pursue international standard accounting course in south Gujarat.

Founded in 1904, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is the global professional accounting body offering the Chartered Certified Accountant qualification (ACCA). It has 233,000 members and 536,000 future members worldwide. ACCA’s headquarters are in London, with a principal administrative office in Glasgow. ACCA works through a network of over 110 offices and centres in 51 countries – with 346 Approved Learning Partners (ALP) and more than 7,600 Approved Employers worldwide who provide employee development. The ACCA also works in Nepal, India, China and Pakistan

The PPSU has also collaborated with Griffith College in Ireland for a unique ‘credit transfer programme’ in Information Technology (IT) for UG and PG. Students from various study backgrounds can enrol in this ‘credit transfer programs’ for BSc (Hons-8/ORD-7) in Computing Science, and MSc. In Computing Science, Big Data management and analytics, network, and information security to move to Ireland campus.

“When students gain skills, they will be able to get good placements,” said Dr. Parag Sanghani, vice-chancellor (provost) of PPSU. We believe in developing skills at PPSU.” “At PPSU, students will have direct access to an internationally recognised accounting course from ACCA.” The course will allow students to pursue a career in International Finance and Accounting while completing the ACCA professional qualification by seeking exemption from nine subjects.”
