Ahmedabad : Union Home and Cooperation Minister  Amit Shah inaugurated the Hindu Adhyatmik ane Seva Melo in Ahmedabad in the presence of Chief Minister  Bhupendra Patel.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, (RSS) a sister institution of the Hindu Adhyatmik Ane Seva Sansthan has organized this grand fair in Ahmedabad from January 23 to 26 to promote social and religious unity within the Hindu community.

The fair conveys an inspiring message of unity and is designed not merely as a display of service, but with the intent of making service a natural way of life.

Addressing the public gathering at the event, the Union Minister stated that the RSS has undertaken the task of presenting the vast service efforts of the Hindu community to the public through the organization of the Hindu Adhyatmik ane Seva Melo.

He further emphasized that this fair has brought to life the vision of Swami Dayanand Saraswati. The protection and promotion of the values, traditions, and culture of Hinduism have been accomplished collectively by the Rashtriya Sangh (National Union) and other institutions here.

He stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India has resolved its vital issues and long-pending problems over the past ten years. In this regard, he mentioned Articles 370, the reconstruction of the Ram Mandir, the Uniform Civil Code, the Triple Talaq issue, the Citizenship Law, and other significant reforms.

While referring to the stalls showcasing the life and work of Rani Ahilyabai Holkar at the fair, he stated that, in the darkest times of oppression and destruction, Ahilyabai Holkar was a beacon of creation and preservation. She undertook the monumental task of reconstructing over 200 destroyed temples. Additionally, she was responsible for the restoration of Shaiva, Vaishnava, and Shakta religious sites. Explaining the significance of the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, the Union Minister stated that the Maha Kumbh Mela conveys a message of harmony and unity. Arrangements for the meals and comfort of all, without discrimination based on caste, community, or creed, are made here. The entire event is being successfully carried out through collective participation and cooperation.

He further mentioned that the arrangements made by the government at the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh are akin to the contribution of a squirrel in the construction of the Ram Setu. Despite the Mughal, and British rule, and adverse political conditions in India, the tradition of the Kumbh Mela has remained alive for thousands of years, he added. Speaking about the global significance of the Maha Kumbh, the Minister stated that over 40 crore people, both from within the country and abroad, will benefit from the Maha Kumbh. Diplomats and ambassadors from various countries have expressed pleasant surprise regarding the Kumbh organization. The Prayagraj Kumbh Mela has become an opportunity to awaken spiritual consciousness for all, and all Indians must take full advantage of the Maha Kumbh.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel stated that Indian culture has evolved on the foundation of spirituality, devotion to religion, and service-oriented harmony. “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (the world is one family) is the essence of this culture. This sacred sentiment is embedded in our Ved, Puran, religious scriptures, and history.

While many cultures across the world have gradually faded with time, our culture has remained intact and enduring. Not only that, but its resurgence, preservation, and promotion have continued over time. He further added that through six fundamental principles—forest and wildlife conservation, maintaining the balance of life, environmental preservation, nurturing family values, honouring and protecting women, and fostering patriotism—this Fair is also working to strengthen the Indian Sanatan culture.

The CM praised the “Initiative for Moral and Cultural Training” program at the fair. He expressed the importance of character-building alongside education, emphasizing the need to prioritize respect for parents, elders, and women. He stated that this initiative would play a crucial role in shaping the future generation of the country. He stated that for centuries in India, Surya Dev (Sun God) has been revered as a source of energy. It is through this solar energy that the PM has shown the path to energy security with the mantra of “One Earth, One Sun, One Grid” for the entire world. Due to PM’s efforts, people across the world have embraced our yoga and Ayurveda.

Through the Mission LiFE initiative, PM has presented the Indian cultural style of living in harmony with nature to the world. The CM expressed confidence that through this fair, as more and more people join the efforts of cultural, service, and spiritual revitalization, we will be able to build Viksit Bharat by 2047, nurtured by values and cultivated by a well-formed society for both present and future generations. The CM considered the Hindu Adhyatmik ane Seva Melo organized in Ahmedabad, coinciding with the completion of one year of the Praan Pratishtha of Ram Mandir and the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, as the third significant occasion.

Bhayyaji Joshi of RSS stated that India, the sacred land of deities, saints, and ascetics, is inspiring the world by imparting the message of renunciation and dedication. He added that Hinduism is based on thought, lifestyle, and life values. The core of Hinduism revolves around humanity, duty, cooperation, truth, and justice. In religion, spirituality is accompanied by discipline, and many great souls, remaining unknown, have been working to protect this sacred land. He further mentioned that the essence of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” is the identity of India.

He added that Hindu society is not destructive but protective. This event reflects the vision of Hindu values. Swami Paramatmanandji Saraswati Maharaj, while offering his blessings, stated that religion is the dedication to duty, which involves fulfilling responsibilities toward society, family, the nation, and the world. He mentioned that the spirit of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” exists in every citizen of India.

Through such events in society, the social and religious unity of the Hindu community is exemplified. In the Sanskar Utsav organized by H.S.S.F. in Ahmedabad, over 250 Hindu service-oriented organizations collaborated to conduct an 11-Kundi Samajik Samrasta Yagna, live darshan of over 11 temples, replicas of more than 15 renowned temples, a tribal village, Ganga Aarti, and a display of the Kumbh Mela.

Additionally, ISRO and NCC institutions contributed special attractions to the fair. The fair was attended by Union Minister Shri Jagdish Vishwakarma, National Coordinator Shri Gunwant Sinh Kothari, Swami Shri Lalit Kishordas Maharaj, Pujya Madhavpriyadasji Maharaj, Shri Bhagyesh Jha, as well as officials, workers, saints, ascetics, citizens, and women from the Hindu Spiritual and Service Organization.
