Healthspring and Smart Commute Foundation host a World Health Day 2023 Cyclathon

New Delhi : Healthspring associated with “Cycle Chalwa, City bachwa” and Smart Commute Foundation, a group of eminent cyclists in the city, led by the bicycle mayor of Mumbai, and a renowned Neuro Surgeon Dr. Viswanathan Iyer for cycling in the city covering a distance of 15 Km from the Cuffe Parade touching each Healthspring Centre from Cuffe Parade, Goregaon, Mulund, Powai, to mark the 75th Year of WorldHealth Organization (WHO) and spread the message that it is the best form of exercise.

This event aligns with the National Health Policy 2017, which emphasises “Wellness and Fitness” under our PM.

Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) like Diabetes, Hypertension, Bronchial Asthma, and Chronic RespiratoryIllnesses are common in India, and lifestyle changes can help prevent, control, or even reverse them.

Since its founding 12 years ago, Healthspring has promoted prevention and health with this group of committed cyclists. We urge higher authorities to encourage this environmentally friendly alternative transport mode by installing a citywide cycling track.
