Gujarat : Vadodara BJP Leader Arvind Sindha To Launch BJP(S) Party
Drawing parallels with Mukherjee's vision of a Hindu-centric political ideology, Sindha emphasized the need for a platform--BJP (S)--that addresses the grievances of disillusioned BJP and Congress members
Vadodara : Arvind Sindha, a prominent leader within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Vadodara, has unveiled the formation of a new political entity named BJP(S), paying homage to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh. The party aims to cater to disenchanted leaders and workers from both the Congress and BJP fold. Sindha revealed that the Election Commission of India will be approached to secure an election symbol, with ‘lotus in the hand’ being a likely choice.
Drawing parallels with Mukherjee’s vision of a Hindu-centric political ideology, Sindha emphasized the need for a platform–BJP (S)–that addresses the grievances of disillusioned BJP and Congress members. He highlighted the influx of Congress recruits into the BJP ranks as a source of discontent among grassroots workers, tarnishing the party’s image and causing confusion among voters in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.
Sindha’s announcement signals a significant development in the political landscape of Vadodara, as dissatisfied elements seek an alternative platform to voice their concerns and aspirations.
Sindha’s decision to form a new party parallel to the BJP was taken after the internal rifts within the party and the BJP leadership’s campaign to bring the Congress leaders into its fold. According to Sindha, the decision to bring the Congress leaders and giving them tickets for the Lok Sabha and Assembly by-polls has resented many grassroot workers who were vying for the better position in the party after putting in lot of sweat and blood in all these years. There were leaders who are working dedicatedly in the party since the Jan Sangh days and are yet to get their rightful positions in the party, while the outsiders are gaining grounds.
According to Sindha, the BJP leadership wanted to make India ‘A Congress-Mukt Bharat’, but they have eventually turned BJP into the ‘Congress-Yukt BJP’ by poaching Congress leaders, MLAs and MPs from across India.
