Gujarat : Junagadh Jeweler Held Hostage in Rs 82 Lakh Robbery
Jitendra Vrajlal Lodhia, a gold and silver trader, was at his home watching television when his acquaintance, Deepak Jogiya, a jewelry manufacturer, arrived. As Lodhia went to the kitchen for water, Jogiya and two unidentified men attacked him. They tied him up with a towel and held him hostage for over two hours.
Junagadh : A jeweler in Rajesar village, Junagadh district, was held hostage and robbed of cash and jewelry worth Rs 82 lakh on Friday evening. The robbers, including the victim’s acquaintance, escaped with eight gold biscuits, 21 kg of silver, and Rs 9 lakh in cash.

During this time, the robbers ransacked the house and made away with the valuables. The total loot is estimated to be worth Rs 82 lakh, including eight gold biscuits, 21 kg of silver, and Rs 9 lakh in cash.
After the robbers fled, Lodhia managed to untie himself and inform the police. A complaint was registered at the Mendarda police station. Due to the seriousness of the crime, the district police chief cordoned off the area. Teams from the Local Crime Branch (LCB) and Special Operations Group (SOG) have been formed to nab the culprits.
“We are investigating the case from all angles,” said a senior police officer. “We are questioning other suspects, and we are confident of apprehending the robbers soon.”
