Gujarat Gears Up for International Folklore Dance Fest 2.0 by TAAL Group
This marks the second consecutive year that Surat, recently recognized as India's cleanest city, will play host to an international folklore dance festival. Surat : The Surat-based TAAL Group, in association with CIOFF India and Charu Castle Foundation, is gearing up for a four-day extravaganza – the International Folklore Dance Fest 2.0. The festival, which kicks off on March 8th, will see artists from Romania, Poland, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and India showcase their cultural heritage through captivating folk dance presentations across different parts of Gujarat.

“We are thrilled to present the International Folklore Dance Fest 2.0 to the art lovers of Surat,” shared Krutika Shah, founder of the TAAL Group. “This event allows everyone to experience the diverse cultural heritage of different countries through the captivating medium of folk dance.”
The festival’s itinerary promises a whirlwind tour of cultural expression. The inaugural ceremony will be held at the Science Centre in City Light, Surat, on March 8th. The following day, the festivities move to Ahmedabad, where the event will be held at Gramshree Trust, Craft Root. On March 10th, the artists will embark on a special visit to the historic Dandi memorial in Navsari, commemorating the iconic Salt Satyagraha led by Mahatma Gandhi. The grand finale is scheduled for March 11th at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University Convention Hall in Surat.
