Mehsana/Sabarkantha, Gujarat — Gujarat took a bold leap in adventure tourism on Thursday as Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the country’s longest and the state’s first ‘Dharoi Adventure Fest’ at the scenic Dharoi Dam, nestled on the border of Mehsana and Sabarkantha. With speedboats cutting through glistening waters and colorful parachutes soaring above, the 45-day fest promises to transform Dharoi into a premier adventure and eco-tourism hotspot.
Accompanied by Tourism Minister Mulubhai Bera and key dignitaries, the CM toured the adventure activity zone, rode a speedboat, and inaugurated the grand Tent City. While addressing the gathering, CM Patel emphasized, “Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat is steadily becoming a hub for spiritual, eco, and adventure tourism. Dharoi will soon emerge as an iconic destination in North Gujarat.”

The government has ambitious plans to link Dharoi with a broader North Gujarat tourism circuit, which includes Polo Forest, Taranga, Vadnagar, and Ambaji. “Dharoi is not just a tourism project—it’s a vision to energize the region with jobs, culture, and global footfall,” the CM noted.
Tourism Secretary Rajendra Kumar stated, “The Dharoi Adventure Fest is unlike any in the country. With land, water, and sky-based activities, it will offer tourists a dynamic and unforgettable experience.”
The Adventure Fest includes:
Land activities: Trekking, mountain biking, bouldering, camping, hiking trails
