Gujarat CM Launches E-Portal for Gift Auction
The State Government has now introduced the online portal https://cmgujmemento.gujarat.gov.in to facilitate contributions to the Kanya Kelavani Nidhi through a transparent e-auction of gifts received by the Chief Minister.
Gandhinagar : Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has launched an e-portal for the online sale of gifts and souvenirs he receives during public functions and various tours. This initiative aims to continue the tradition of utilizing the proceeds for noble causes, such as Kanya Kelavani.
Previously, these gifts were sold through public auctions at state-level events and by District Collectors in their respective districts. The State Government has now introduced the online portal https://cmgujmemento.gujarat.gov.in to facilitate contributions to the Kanya Kelavani Nidhi through a transparent e-auction of gifts received by the Chief Minister.
People from across the country can access this portal to participate in the e-auction and buy treasury gifts online. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat, established the practice of depositing gifts he received into the government treasury and using the proceeds to support the noble cause of Kanya Kelavani.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has maintained this tradition, embracing the belief that he is a trustee, not the owner, of these gifts. He has upheld this noble cause by auctioning the gifts to benefit Kanya Kelavani. The e-auction portal has been developed by N-Code GNFC specifically for this purpose. The gifts are organized into categories, with photographs by NIFT, and detailed descriptions are available in both English and Gujarati.
To purchase gifts via the e-auction, buyers must first register on the portal and place their bids. The highest bidder will need to make a digital payment to the Kanya Kelavani Nidhi after which the purchased gift will be delivered by post.
