Ahmedabad : The Ahmedabad police find themselves in a perplexing situation as they struggle to trace the whereabouts of a Bulgarian woman who filed a rape complaint against Rajiv Modi, the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd. The woman has been missing since January 24, leaving authorities scrambling to locate her amidst a high-profile case that has garnered significant attention. Adding complexity to the situation, Rajiv Modi is reported to have fled the country following the registration of the complaint, further complicating the investigation.

The Ahmedabad police are facing a daunting challenge in their efforts to locate a Bulgarian woman who lodged a rape complaint against Rajiv Modi, the CMD of Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd. The woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, has been missing since January 24, prompting concerns over her safety and raising questions about the progress of the ongoing investigation.

Despite efforts by the authorities, including the submission of an application by the woman’s lawyer detailing her disappearance, the police have yet to uncover any leads regarding her whereabouts. Meanwhile, Rajiv Modi’s absence from the country has only deepened the mystery surrounding the case, with speculation arising that he may have fled abroad to evade prosecution.

Compounding the complexities of the case is the involvement of Cadila’s HR manager, Johnson Mathew, who has also been implicated as an accused party. Police efforts to obtain Mathew’s statement faced initial hurdles as he requested additional time on two occasions. However, following persistent summons, Mathew was finally interrogated and his statement recorded, providing crucial insights linking Modi and the victim.

“Johnson Mathew is the link between Rajiv Modi and the girl in this case,” stated a police official involved in the investigation. “After taking Mathew’s statement, the police have intensified efforts to locate the missing Bulgarian woman.”

The investigation has spanned from Rajiv Modi’s farmhouse to his office, with authorities leaving no stone unturned in their quest for answers. However, their efforts have been hampered by a lack of concrete leads, particularly regarding Modi’s current whereabouts. While suspicions linger that Modi may have fled abroad, concrete evidence to support this theory remains elusive.

As days pass without any sign of the missing woman, concerns continue to mount, underscoring the urgency of the situation. With important evidence and witnesses under scrutiny, the Ahmedabad police remain steadfast in their commitment to unraveling the truth behind this troubling case.

Despite the challenges posed by the complexities of the investigation, authorities remain resolute in their pursuit of justice, determined to bring closure to the victim and hold those responsible fully accountable for their actions.
