Surat | Gujarat —Marking a historic confluence of Vishwakarma Puja, Jeweler’s Day, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) has unveiled an ambitious Guinness World Record campaign. The initiative aims to collect 2 lakh blood donation pledges and send 75,000 greeting messages to the Prime Minister, celebrating the twin spirit of service and gratitude.

The GJEPC has circulated participation links across India, inviting members of the gems and jewellery industry as well as the public to join this mega social campaign.

“A Tribute Through Service”

“This is not just a celebration, but a nationwide movement of gratitude and service,” said Kirit Bhansali, Chairman of GJEPC. “On the auspicious occasion of Vishwakarma Puja and Jeweler’s Day, we wanted to channel our collective energy into a cause that truly matters—saving lives through blood donation and expressing heartfelt wishes to our Prime Minister on his milestone 75th birthday.”

Industry-Wide Mobilisation

GJEPC has called upon its vast network of jewellers, exporters, artisans, and allied stakeholders across the country to actively participate. The council believes the initiative reflects the industry’s commitment not only to craftsmanship and commerce but also to nation-building and social responsibility.

“This campaign demonstrates the gems and jewellery industry’s ability to unite for a larger purpose. By combining tradition with compassion, we hope to set a record that India will be proud of,” added Bhansali.

Guinness Record in the Making

If successful, the pledges and greetings will secure India a place in the Guinness World Records. More importantly, the campaign is expected to boost awareness about the importance of blood donation at a time when the healthcare system continues to demand higher preparedness.

Industry insiders say the campaign has already sparked enthusiasm among jewellers across hubs like Surat, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Jaipur, with thousands signing up within hours of the link being shared.

A Celebration Beyond Business

As Vishwakarma Puja honours the divine architect and Jeweler’s Day celebrates craftsmanship, the initiative is being hailed as a fitting blend of tradition, philanthropy, and national pride.

“This is about creating a legacy,” Bhansali concluded. “A legacy of compassion, responsibility, and unity that will be remembered long after the celebrations are over.”
