FICCI FLO Vadodara raises Rs 40 Lakhs for Vadodara NGOs with “Shark Tank 2.0”!

Vadodara : FICCI FLO Vadodara, the women’s branch of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), had a tremendously successful “Shark Tank 2.0” event on June 30.

Four renowned women industrialists served as “sharks,” and four outstanding non-profits pitched their causes for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) financing. The event sought to develop cooperation between industrialists and non-governmental organisations, resulting in significant financial assistance for the community.

The event exceeded everyone’s expectations by generating an amazing Rs 40 lakhs for Vadodara-based non-governmental organisations. This outstanding feat illustrates the dedication and generosity of the participating businessmen, who understand the value of elevating society and creating a good effect via their CSR efforts. Mrs. Geeta Goradia, Mrs. Shivani Patel, Mrs. Vaibhavi Gandhi, and Ms. Neha Shah were this year’s Sharks on Shark Tank 2.0.

Circle of Care got Rs 12 lakhs as a contribution from the sharks, Jump Start Foundation received Rs 11 lakhs, Mahavir Foundation received Rs 8,40,000/-, and Simple Deed Foundation received Rs 2,54,000/-. The kind crowd gave a total of Rs 6 lakhs to all four charities.

Mrs. Barkha Amin, Chairperson of FLO Vadodara, came up with the concept of Shark Tank for the purpose of women empowerment and assisting women-led NGO’s. She said, “I am happy to see the idea grow every year, and we are proud that many NGO’s and people in society who require help in various ways benefit from this fund raising event.”

Mrs. Sudha Shivkumar, acclaimed National President of FICCI FLO, was the event’s Chief Guest. Sudha Shivkumar is a well-known activist and champion for women’s empowerment, therefore her participation added to the importance of the event. Her motivational comments and continuous support boosted the participants’ energy and excitement.

The participating NGOs displayed their creative initiatives, emphasising their dedication to changing lives and bringing about long-term change in Vadodara.
