FCI’s consultative committee appoints Star Imaging Director Dr. Sameer Bhati as member

In order to ensure that both producers and consumers' rights are respected, the Ministry appoints this committee to provide guidance to the Food Corporation of India (FCI) on issues concerning the collection, storage, and distribution of food grains.

New Delhi : Public health expert Dr. Sameer Bhati has been nominated to the role of “Member of the Consultative Committee” in the Food Corporation of India (FCI) for the National Capital Territory of Delhi by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Government of India. In order to ensure that both producers and consumers’ rights are respected, the Ministry appoints this committee to provide guidance to the Food Corporation of India (FCI) on issues concerning the collection, storage, and distribution of food grains.

According to the release, “Dr. Sameer Bhati is now on a mission to contribute his expertise and work collaboratively towards improving food security and strengthening the nation’s public distribution system” as a result of his appointment to the Food Corporation of India.

Dr. Bhati is a dedicated advocate for the Preventive Health Campaign, and he uses every available means to raise public consciousness about the importance of this topic. More than 150 Health & Wellness Sessions were held across India as a result of his initiative, Star Healthy India Mission, last year. These sessions focused on Holistic Health, self-care (via “Early Screening & Early Treatment”), and the democratisation of healthcare. At the Medical Camps he organised for pilgrims in the difficult mountainous terrain of Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham, his efforts were recognised and appreciated by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Sh. Gurmeet Singh, Governor, Uttrakhand, and Sh. Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Minister, Uttrakhand.

In the past, Dr. Bhati has made significant contributions to the Healthcare System and been recognised for them with a number of awards, including the Global Inspirational Award, the National Health Excellence Award, the Ananya Samman, the Bharat Gaurav Award, the Six Sigma Healthcare Leadership Award, and others.

Dr. Sameer Bhati has worked as a member of the Covid Care Committee, where he has promoted universal acceptance of covid vaccines and accelerated the national covid vaccination programme, in addition to making significant contributions to covid testing. He is also credited with validating the first Covid testing kit developed in India, at IIT Delhi, and later testing kits developed in South Korea. Many groups, including the Delhi Police, the Indian Medical Association, and the Delhi Medical Association & South DMC, have honoured him as a Corona Warrior for his efforts to aid Covid patients, their relatives, and those who were afflicted during the Pandemic.

Under his able supervision, his company Star Imaging has provided Covid Care Training to curb the shortage of Healthcare workers & prepare skilled Healthcare Workforce to support Delhi Police in its Mission 10,000 Corona Warriors.

Dr. Bhati, who has been admired for his achievements in the Healthcare Industry, is also known as an inspirational orator and a TEDx speaker. To make everyone aware of lifestyle diseases and preventive healthcare, he also published many research papers in international journals.
