Cricketing fever grips Surat with Box Cricket Tournament organised by DC Patel Education Campus

Surat : The CB Patel Cricket and Football Academy’s thrilling five-day Box Cricket Tournament began on August 22, setting off a flurry of activity in the city of Surat. This tournament, organised only for students of the five institutions that make up the DC Patel Education Campus, has captivated cricket fans and athletes alike.
Mr. Pankajbhai Gijubhai Patel, Head of Kantha Vibhag Navnirman Mandal and D C Patel Educational Campus, was among the distinguished guests at the tournament’s spectacular launch. Munaf Patel, a member of the Indian cricket squad that won the World Cup, and Jatin Paranjape, a member of the Indian selection panel, both served as honoured main guests, giving the event an air of cricketing greatness. Vice Chancellor Shri Kishore Sinh Chawda of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) also attended the inaugural ceremony.
Mr. Kamlesbhai Patel, Chairman of C B Patel Cricket and Football Academy, gave an explanation of the tournament’s purpose, noting that box cricket provides a novel indoor gaming experience that is especially appropriate for the rainy season. This new twist on the game puts cricket fans together in close quarters, ramping up the intensity of the action and developing a sense of teamwork.
With 172 teams from 5 different universities, this year’s Box Cricket Tournament has broken all attendance records. Students’ rising interest in sports is reflected in this excellent turnout, which fosters an atmosphere where abilities are cultivated and friendships are created beyond the confines of the playing field.
