Surat : In anticipation of the historic inauguration of the Surat Diamond Bourse (SDB), the world’s largest office building, the members of the SDB diamond bourse committee are gearing up for a significant visit to New Delhi on August 2.

Their primary objective during the visit is to extend a personal invitation to none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself for the grand opening ceremony scheduled on November 21.

The list of 450 diamond industrialists, diamond traders, and businessmen who have voluntarily agreed to open their offices at the SDB on the historic day of November 21 will be handed over to Prime Minister Modi during their meeting. This impressive number of occupants further highlights the significance of the SDB in the global diamond industry.

The excitement is building up in Surat as the countdown for the opening of the Surat Diamond Bourse (SDB) commences. Bigger than the iconic Pentagon in America, the SDB is set to become the world’s largest office building, and the managing committee members have begun the preparations for the grand inauguration on November 21.

The invitation aims to request the Prime Minister to grace the event with his presence and inaugurate this magnificent building that will further strengthen India’s position in the global diamond trade.

Dinesh Navadia, a member of the SDB diamond bourse managing committee, said, “We are visiting New Delhi to extend an invitation to PM Modiji for inaugurating the world’s largest office building on Tuesday. A list of 450 members who will be opening their offices on November 21 will be submitted to PM Modi.”

The diamond enthusiasts have eagerly awaited the completion of the SDB and have been making regular visits to the location in Khajod, approximately 15 kilometers away from Surat. Office owners are actively involved in the interior work of their spaces, ensuring everything is ready for the grand opening.

With November 21 fast approaching, expectations are high that the SDB will commence its operations with a handsome number of offices already occupied. This landmark achievement is a testament to the vision and efforts of Surat and the diamantaires who have played a pivotal role in making this grand project a reality.

Even Prime Minister Modi acknowledged this remarkable accomplishment, and in an official tweet, he congratulated Surat and the diamantaires for the honor of having the world’s largest office building.
