BJP leadership puzzled with PM Modi second visit to Valsad on November 19

Party sources said PM Modi will be arriving at the coast guard operated air strip in Daman on November 19. PM Modi will hold a roadshow starting from the union territory of Daman to the neighbouring Vapi town in Gujarat. From Vapi, PM Modi will fly to Jujwa village on the Valsad-Dharampur road to address a huge public meeting.
All the five assembly seats in Valsad district namely Valsad, Kaprada, Pardi, Umbergaon and Dharmpur are the BJP bastion. In the 2017 assembly elections, BJP won four out of five seats. The Kaparada assembly constituency was won by Congress candidate Jitu Chaudhary. In 2020, Jitu Chaudhary resigned from the Congress party to join the BJP. In the 2020 by-election, Jitu Chaudhary won the Kaparada seat on the BJP ticket.
The majority of the BJP workers and leaders are in double whammy as to why PM Modi is coming for the second consecutive time to address a public meeting and a road show in Valsad, despite BJP holding sway on all the five seats in Valsad district and repeating the candidates in the Gujarat elections 2022.
Kanu Desai, sitting MLA from the Pardi assembly constituency is the Minister of State for Finance and holds the number 2 position in the Gujarat Cabinet after Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
Hemant Kansara, president of Valsad district BJP said, “We are not at all worried or in the double whammy as to why PM Modi is visiting for the second time in Valsad. BJP is going to win all the five assembly seats with double margins”. “PM Modi is going to visit Mumbai and Gujarat BJP president CR Patil may have arranged his election campaign in Valsad. We are happy that PM Modi is coming for the second time and launched his election campaign for Gujarat elections 2022 from Valsad”
