Ahmedabad | Gujarat — Bollywood is set to witness a powerful social drama with the release of Bisaahee on September 25, 2025. Produced by Narendra Patel under Piece Wing Production Pvt. Ltd. and written and directed by Abhinav Thakur, the film dives deep into the chilling and often silenced reality of witch-hunting in rural India.
The title “Bisaahee,” meaning rebellion and defiance, reflects the film’s central theme—challenging authority, exposing injustice, and standing against centuries-old exploitation disguised as tradition.
Storyline: Vlogger uncovers a nightmare
The movie follows Stuti, an ultra-modern urban vlogger, who travels to Aatmanpur village for her next project. What begins as a routine vlog soon turns into a nightmare as she uncovers the horrific practice of witch-hunting.
Through her journey, Stuti meets Asha, a survivor whose painful story forces her to confront her own past traumas. Inspired by Asha’s resilience, Stuti decides to use her platform to expose the injustices, vowing to end the cycle of fear and persecution that grips the village.
Director’s vision
Speaking about the film, director Abhinav Thakur said, “Bisaahee is not just a story, it is a mirror to the society we live in. Witch-hunting is not a superstition of the past—it is a cruel practice still destroying lives in certain pockets of India. Through this film, we hope to spark awareness, empathy, and most importantly, action.”
A blend of art and activism
The producers emphasize that Bisaahee is more than cinema—it is a call for social reform. Producer Narendra Patel noted, “Cinema has the power to initiate conversations that people often avoid. With Bisaahee, we want to use entertainment as a tool to challenge ignorance and oppression.”
A must-watch for change-seekers
With its release set for September 25, Bisaahee promises to be a gripping tale that merges storytelling with activism. By highlighting witch-hunting as a tool of exploitation against the downtrodden, the film seeks to inspire viewers to question blind traditions and champion justice.
