Mumbai | Maharashtra – The world’s leading diamond bourse in Maharashtra, the Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) paid tribute today to the millions of Jewish lives lost in World War II at the historic Keneseth Eliyahoo Synagogue in Mumbai. This was in honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day. This day of remembrance around the world honors the memory of the six million Jews and many others who were systematically killed by the Nazis. It also honors the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Mehul Shah, speaking for BDB, led prayers and paid his respects to all the Jewish people who died in the Holocaust. During a moment of reflection, everyone stood in silence to remember the innocent lives lost and to promise that such terrible things will never be forgotten.

Shah said, “We and the entire Indian diamond industry are mourning the lives of innocent people died in the holocaust. We are remembering the jews from the bottom of our hearts and pay very high tributes to the departed souls”

 On this occasion, many people from the Jewish community in Mumbai and trade people came together to give a power tribute of unity and remembrance event in Mumbai. BDB is closely connected with the Jewish community who are the backbone of the diamond trade in India. BDB is committed for promoting peace, brotherhood and understanding among different groups.
