Mumbai | Maharashtra —- The BDB Navratri Celebration 2025 turned into a remarkable showcase of devotion, unity, and cultural pride, bringing together members, staff, and support teams of the Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) community in an evening that seamlessly blended tradition with global recognition.
The event was graced by the BDB Board of Directors — Mehul Shah, Kiran Gandhi, Jay Parikh, and Mahesh Vaghani — who set a tone of inclusivity and shared pride by warmly welcoming every guest. Their presence underscored the significance of community spirit in making the evening unforgettable.
Finland Consulate’s Participation Adds Cross-Cultural Touch
A highlight of the celebration was the active participation of the Consulate General of Finland, whose presence elevated the event into a cross-cultural dialogue. From joining the Puja to taking part in the vibrant Dandiya dance, and later presenting awards at the Padel Tournament, the Consul General’s involvement was warmly received by the BDB community.
Brass Band Steals the Show
The evening’s most celebrated moment came from the BDB Security Brass Band, managed by the security function, which delivered a powerful and diverse musical performance. Their set included a touching rendition of the Finland National Song, the rock anthem Final Countdown, the globally popular Bella Ciao, and the lively Levan Polkka.
The performance not only captivated the audience but also earned the band an official invitation to perform at Finland’s National Day celebration — a rare international honor for a community-led musical group.
A Collective Achievement
“This achievement reflects the dedication and discipline of our entire BDB family,” said a Board member. “The Brass Band initiative has unlocked a new dimension of talent within our community.”
