Mumbai | Maharashtra — In a vibrant confluence of security, cyber, and risk management professionals, the ASIS International Mumbai Chapter successfully hosted its Annual General Meeting and Chapter Meet 2025 at Bharat Diamond Bourse, biggest diamond exchange in the world in Mumbai. The event drew an impressive gathering of nearly 130 seasoned experts and rising leaders from across the industry, transforming the iconic venue into a dynamic hub of strategic dialogue, professional camaraderie, and forward-looking governance.

A key highlight was the keynote address by D. Sivanandhan, former Commissioner of Police, Mumbai, former Director General of Police, Maharashtra, and founder of the ROTI BANK initiative. Speaking on “Public-Police Partnership: A Strategic Imperative for Crisis Management & Business Continuity,” he delivered an impactful presentation that drew from his recently released book. His insights on strengthening public-police collaboration for safer and more resilient cities captivated the audience.

The event also featured the formal launch of The Brahmastra Unleashed, unveiled by prominent leaders from the security community. The book was celebrated as a significant contribution to thought leadership in the field.

Adding further distinction, Shri Mehul Shah, Vice President of the Bharat Diamond Bourse and Chairman of the Gemmological Institute of India, felicitated Mr. Sivanandhan. Welcoming all professionals to the BDB, he emphasized the importance of industry leaders uniting during times of global uncertainty. “When the world faces uncertainty, it is reassuring to see leaders gather, share insights, and build connections that strengthen collective resilience,” he noted, extending his best wishes to ASIS International.

A compelling panel discussion on “Building Resilience & Business Continuity in an Unpredictable World,” moderated by Col. Sam, brought together Col. Manjit Singh, Ms. Usha Suryavanshi, Mr. Rajesh Shekhawat, and Capt. Shantanu Krishna. Their discussion offered practical frameworks and real-world insights for navigating organizational disruptions.

In a moment of heartfelt recognition, the Chapter felicitated Mr. Sampat Suryavanshi for his exemplary service and support during the 26/11 attacks. He was recently honored by the National Security Guard at the Gateway of India for his contributions.

The Chapter also conducted its annual elections, welcoming newly elected office bearers for 2026: Mr. Rakesh Kherwa as Chapter Chair, Mr. Marsh Miranda as Chapter Secretary, and Mr. Aabid Khan as Chapter Treasurer.
