Army Vehicle Overturns in Saputara Ghat, 9 Soldiers Injured
Three soldiers are critical after an Army vehicle travelling from Nashik to Jodhpur overturned on the Saputara–Shamgahan Ghat road in Gujarat’s Dang district.

Surat | Gujarat — About nine soldiers were injured, three are critical when an Army vehicle in which they were travelling from Nashik to Jodhpur overturned on the Saputara-Shamgahan Ghat road in Dang district on Wednesday morning. The Army vehicle lost control on the sharp curve on the ghat road and overturned, resulting in injuries to the soldiers.
According to the information received, the Indian army convoy was going from Nashik in Maharashtra to Jodhpur in Rajasthan. It has been learned that the vehicle was equipped with an army cannon. The driver lost control on the steering wheel while taking a sharp curve in the hilly area of Saputara and the vehicle overturned on the road.
As soon as the accident was reported, the local people and the Dang district police team immediately rushed to the spot. The injured soldiers were immediately taken to the nearby Shamgahan CSC Center through 108 ambulances for primary treatment. After that, all the injured soldiers have been shifted to Ahva Civil Hospital for further treatment.
Following the accident, a traffic jam was created on the Ghat Road, which has been eased by the police. Since the military vehicle has protective equipment (cannon), strict security measures have also been taken.
