New Delhi : Guns and Gulaabs, the highly-anticipated dark comedic criminal thriller starring Raj & DK, is now available to watch on Netflix and will take you on a wonderful musical adventure. In the tranquil cartel-run village of Gulaabganj, where Aman’s musical creativity takes centre stage and strangely guarantees that the two appear at home, the composer Aman Pant has created a cosmos that seems straight out of the Wild Wild West.

Guns and Gulaabs, directed by Raj & DK and released on August 18, has an all-star ensemble, including Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan, and Adarsh Gourav. The late actor-director Satish Kaushik also gives a groundbreaking performance.

The show promises an exciting roller coaster ride by blending romantic and criminal plotlines. The music Aman composed for the series is an integral part of the story, ratcheting up the intensity of the characters’ feelings and the tension in the plot.

Aman was a veteran of approximately 3,000 commercials until R Balki’s groundbreaking Chup gave him his big break. His groundbreaking original soundtrack received universal praise and launched his career as a composer.

Aman looks back on his experience and says, “Working with Raj & DK was a dream come true for me.” Their faith in me was unwavering, and the outcome can be seen by anybody. The only thing I can say is that I appreciate their trust in me.

Since his groundbreaking debut, Aman Pant has established himself as a true musical prodigy. His two outstanding songs in Guns and Gulaabs, “Do Raazi” performed by the famous Kumar Sanu and “Bharam” sung by Aman, as well as his amazing compositions, are sure to enchant listeners.

The show’s defining tune originated in the climactic foot pursuit sequence. According to Aman, “composing music reminiscent of that era was like a dream project for me as a child who grew up watching the stars of that era.” In Budapest, we captured a 60-piece orchestra performing live, complete with a brass section and strings—both of which are becoming unusual in modern orchestras. We went for a vintage vibe by using plenty of live instruments and trying to play everything by ear. One of the songs is performed by Kumar Sanu, and recording him was like going back in time for me since I grew up listening to him. It felt like coming full circle, since suddenly the exact artist whose music shaped my childhood was performing a song just for me.

The creative process between Aman Pant and the show’s producers, Raj & DK, was one of openness and experimentation. One of the nicest things about working there is how much autonomy they allow you. Because they had faith in me, I was given the freedom to try new things and let my imagination run wild. Aman Pant expresses his appreciation for the programme’s openness to his artistic vision, saying, “I am grateful for the opportunity to infuse my sensibilities into the show to recreate the 80s/90s score in this day and age.”

Audiences will be enchanted by Aman Pant’s musical genius in a number of forthcoming films, including Anil Kapoor Productions’ Thank You For Coming and Kunal Kohli and Bobby Deol’s Shlok.

With an impressive resume in the advertising industry, Aman Pant’s path as a music composer goes well beyond the notes themselves, reflecting originality, inventiveness, and an unyielding commitment to his profession. His work keeps pushing the limits of what is possible in Indian music, solidifying him as the genre’s newest groundbreaking superstar.
