In the 2020 case, Barkat Ali Sheikh was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his role in a methamphetamine drug seizure near Shah Alam toll naka, close to the Silver Spring Hotel. His wife, Rubina Ali Sheikh, and their accomplice, Shahnawaz alias Shanu Olmkhan Pathan, were sentenced to 12 years each. They were also fined ₹1 lakh.
