Bharuch | Gujarat — Under the aegis of Project Udaan, a national-level initiative by the Adani Foundation, principals from 136 schools across Bharuch district along with the Swati Raol, District Education Officer, visited the Adani Petronet (Dahej) Port Pvt Ltd in Dahej. This is the first time that such a large group of school principals from the region have collectively toured an industrial facility.

Project Udaan, inspired by the transformative journey of Adani Group Chairman Shri Gautam Adani, is a learning-based initiative offering school students (from Class 9 to 12) and college-level institutions an opportunity to visit Adani Sites and understand the company’s complex, everyday operations. “Project Udaan ignites young minds to dream big, empowering them to become the entrepreneurs, innovators, and leaders of tomorrow – shaping the future and driving the nation forward,” says Mrs. Shilin Adani, Trustee, Adani Foundation. The initiative is free for government and grant-in-aid schools, with a nominal fee applicable to private institutions.

While lakhs of students across India have already benefited from this educational experience, this recent visit was specially organized for school principals to help them understand the value of such exposure and encourage student participation.

The principals expressed immense appreciation for the visit, describing it as their first hands-on experience of witnessing large-scale industrial operations. DEO Mrs. Swati Raol extended her gratitude to the Adani Foundation for conceptualizing and facilitating this visit. She said, “this is a wonderful opportunity for students to witness such large-scale industries, which will broaden their perspectives. Principles have come here with a new vision – to spark curiosity and enthusiasm among students” Mr Pankaj Uhe, Chief Operating Officer, his team and Mr Jignesh Vibhandik, Project Head Udaan, hosted this programme. From now till March 2026, the aim is to provide this learning experience to over 7,000 students in the region.

The Adani Foundation, the social welfare and development arm of the Adani Group, organizes exposure tours for school and college students (technical and non-technical) to visit and explore Adani Group facilities. The objective behind organizing such visits is to encourage young minds to develop an interest in all sorts of enterprises and to encourage them to dream big in life. The Foundation believes that when youngsters are given exposure, it helps them to understand their own potential and get motivated to work towards the same.
