Netrang, Gujarat: In a significant step towards empowering tribal farmers, Adani Foundation Dahej has distributed free seeds for summer crops to 279 needy farmers across 20 villages in Netrang taluka. This initiative aims to enhance agricultural productivity, increase farmers’ incomes, and improve their overall quality of life.
As part of the program, Adani Foundation collaborated with Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Chaswad, to organize a specialized training session for farmers. The training focused on essential farming techniques such as land preparation, proper sowing methods, and the benefits of using high-quality seeds. Following the session, 250 farmers received moong (green gram) seeds, while 29 farmers were provided with groundnut seeds.
The initiative primarily focuses on integrating tribal farmers into modern agricultural practices and equipping them with the knowledge to maximize yield. With high-quality seeds and advanced farming techniques, farmers can improve their production, leading to higher market prices and better economic stability.
The support from Adani Foundation has been widely appreciated by the local farming community. Many farmers expressed their gratitude, acknowledging that access to quality seeds and technical training will significantly benefit their livelihoods.
This program is part of Adani Foundation’s broader efforts to uplift small and marginal farmers in rural and tribal regions. By introducing sustainable agricultural solutions, the foundation aims to promote self-sufficiency and long-term development in the sector.
Such initiatives not only improve the socio-economic conditions of farmers but also contribute to the overall progress of the agricultural community in tribal areas. With continued efforts, Adani Foundation is paving the way for a more prosperous and sustainable farming future for small farmers in Gujarat.
