The tree plantation drive was more than just a symbolic gesture; it marked the beginning of an impressive year-long program by the Adani Foundation, Dahej. Various indigenous tree species were planted, strategically chosen to enhance local biodiversity and ecological balance. The core objective is to cultivate widespread awareness about environmental protection and encourage a lifestyle that actively contributes to its restoration.
“Our planet’s health is directly linked to our own well-being,” stated Adani Port Marine Head Girish Chandra. “By planting these trees, we are not just adding greenery; we are investing in the future of our communities, improving air quality, and supporting vital ecosystems. This is a testament to our collective responsibility towards Mother Earth.”
The Adani Foundation has set an ambitious target of planting over 10,000 trees across the Dahej and Netrang areas within the next year. This initiative aligns with global efforts to combat climate change and promote sustainable development at the grassroots level.
