Adani Foundation launches ‘Adi Samriddhi’ company owned by tribal women farmers
Women-led farmer company inaugurated at Netrang on International Women’s Day to promote self-reliance and rural entrepreneurship

Bharuch | Gujarat — On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Adani Foundation-Dahej organized a special women empowerment program at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) located in Chasvad, Netrang taluka. The program, chaired by Adani Dahej Port COO Captain Dharam Prakash, formally inaugurated the “Adi Samriddhi Producer Company” owned by tribal women farmers.
Approximately 150 women participated enthusiastically in the program. Chief guest Captain Dharam Prakash said that it is essential for women to be economically and socially empowered for the overall development of the society. He inspired the women to move forward with confidence and work for self-development.
NABARD DDM Suja Sibu encouraged rural women to become self-reliant through Self Help Groups (SHGs) and Producer Companies. Krishi Vigyan Kendra Senior Scientist Dr. Lalit Patil guided them on increasing their income through modern farming methods and value addition. While Taluka Development Officer Yogesh Pawar provided detailed information about various women-oriented schemes of the government.
On this occasion, the registration certificate of ‘Adi Samriddhi’ company was presented to the women. Currently, the company has 10 board members and plans to make 500 women its shareholders. It was a proud moment for all. The company’s Board of Directors and the sisters of Sakhi Mandal expressed their gratitude to Adani Foundation for its support. This initiative will open new doors of self-reliance for the women farmers of Netrang area.
