Godhra, Gujarat – As Gujarat marked its 65th Foundation Day, the state-level Gujarat Gaurav Divas 2025 celebration was held in Godhra, the district headquarters of Panchmahal. The event witnessed the presence of Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, with heavy police security deployed across Godhra city for the occasion.

Highlighting the occasion, Chief Minister Patel inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 85 development projects worth ₹650 crore in Panchmahal district. These projects are aimed at boosting the district’s infrastructure, agriculture, industry, and social services.

Among the key announcements, CM Patel virtually inaugurated the Gaushort Sect Shortened Semen Technology machine and laid the foundation for a UHT milk processing plant at Panchamrut Dairy. A major step toward green industry, the Lithium-Iron Battery Recycle Plant was also inaugurated at Halol, reflecting Gujarat’s push towards sustainable energy and circular economy models.

“This Gujarat Gaurav Divas marks not just our proud past, but also our dynamic journey toward Viksit Gujarat@2047,” said Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. “The projects we launch today will empower our farmers, youth, and women, aligning with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to build a developed India.”

Education Minister Kuber Dindor, Minister of State for Cooperation Jagdish Vishwakarma, and Deputy Speaker Jetha Bharwad were also present at the event, along with several MLAs, bureaucrats, and dignitaries.

In his speech, CM Patel invoked Gujarat’s legacy of producing iconic national leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel, and Prime Minister Modi. He emphasized Gujarat’s transformation over the past 25 years, attributing it to “visionary leadership and a culture of good governance.”

“Our roadmap from 2025 to 2035—Utkarsh Gujarat Diamond Jubilee—will celebrate a decade of innovation, progress, and public participation,” he noted.

The Chief Minister also highlighted Gujarat’s achievements in power generation, education, health, and infrastructure. He said, “Thanks to the Jyotigram Yojana, 24×7 power is reaching our remotest villages, and our electricity generation has jumped from 8,750 MW to nearly 53,000 MW.”

Gujarat has become India’s only state with fully developed gas, water, and electricity grids. It also leads the country in renewable energy, contributing 15% of India’s total renewable capacity and pioneering rooftop solar installations with over 3 lakh households covered.

He added, “From high-tech sectors like semiconductors and AI to global investment summits like Vibrant Gujarat, we are creating a new economic model for India.”

This year has been declared as the Urban Development Year, with the government focusing on creating smart cities and urban forests. “Ahmedabad has already set a benchmark by planting 70 lakh trees,” the CM said.

Looking ahead to 2047—the centenary of India’s independence—Patel urged citizens to embrace their “Kartavya Kaal” (era of duty). “This is our Amrit Kaal, and Gujarat will lead the way in realising a Viksit Bharat,” he concluded.
