Gujarat : 15 Injured as Bulls Crash Wedding Function in Surendranagar

Ahmedabad : In a disturbing incident highlighting the ongoing issue of stray cattle menace, chaos ensued at a wedding function in Surendranagar as two stray bulls, locked in a vicious fight, barged into the venue, resulting in injuries to 15 attendees. The unfortunate incident unfolded in the Mafatiya Para area of Lakhtar town, casting a shadow over what was supposed to be a joyous occasion for a couple from Kajipura village in Viramgam taluka.

The commotion erupted during the wedding celebrations when the two stray bulls, embroiled in a territorial dispute, clashed with each other and inadvertently stormed into the wedding venue. Amidst the chaos, the unsuspecting guests, including the newlyweds, bore the brunt of the bull’s aggression, leading to injuries.

The injured individuals, numbering 15 in total, were promptly rushed to the government hospital for medical attention, facilitated by a private vehicle. Among the casualties, reports indicate that two individuals sustained severe injuries, necessitating urgent medical intervention.

This distressing incident underscores the growing menace posed by stray cattle in rural areas, where such encounters have become increasingly common. Despite efforts to mitigate the issue, including initiatives aimed at rounding up and relocating stray animals, instances of confrontations with humans persist, posing a significant threat to public safety.
